Terms for using DateKit

These terms govern access to and use of the DateKit website and calculators. By using the service, you agree to use it responsibly and understand the limitations described below.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

The service

DateKit provides general-purpose date calculations and supporting explanations in English and Spanish. The service is offered without a required account in its current form.

Informational use only

Results are provided for general informational and organizational purposes. DateKit is not an official calendar, legal deadline system, medical calculator, payroll service, tax tool, or professional advisory service.

Always verify important dates with the contract, institution, authority, employer, court, medical professional, or other responsible source. Different organizations may apply different inclusion rules, holidays, time zones, or definitions of a business day.

Accuracy and assumptions

DateKit is designed to handle common calendar cases, including leap years, inclusive ranges, configurable weekends, and end-of-month adjustments. Errors, browser differences, software defects, or misunderstood settings may still occur.

You are responsible for reviewing the selected dates, options, counting rules, and displayed result before relying on a calculation.

Acceptable use

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls.
  • Do not use automated requests in a way that impairs the service for other visitors.
  • Do not misrepresent DateKit results as official certification or professional advice.
  • Do not copy or redistribute the site's branding or content in a misleading manner.

Availability and changes

DateKit may change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue calculators, content, routes, or features. The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, hosting incidents, security measures, or circumstances outside the operator's control.

Intellectual property

The DateKit name, visual identity, interface, original explanations, and site code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless a separate license states otherwise. These terms do not transfer ownership rights to visitors.

Third-party services and links

Hosting, fonts, advertising, analytics, or external references may be provided by third parties. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. DateKit is not responsible for third-party websites or services it does not control.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DateKit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DateKit and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after updated terms are published means the revised terms apply from their stated update date, subject to applicable law.

Questions

Use the contact page for questions about these terms. Do not use DateKit's contact channel as a substitute for legal advice about your own obligations or deadlines.
