Privacy policy

Privacy designed around browser-only calculations

This policy explains the information processed when you use DateKit. The current product does not require an account and does not maintain a database of calculation history.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Scope

This policy applies to the public DateKit website and its English and Spanish calculator pages. It does not control the practices of websites reached through external links.

Dates entered into calculators

Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser in the current version of DateKit. DateKit does not intentionally transmit those dates to an account system, store them in a DateKit database, or retain a personal calculation history.

Avoid entering information that is confidential or unnecessary. A date can sometimes reveal personal information even when no name is attached to it.

Technical request data

When you request a web page, the hosting and network infrastructure may process standard technical information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or user-agent information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and diagnostic or security events.

This information may be processed by the hosting provider to deliver the website, prevent abuse, maintain security, diagnose failures, and operate the service. DateKit does not use calculator inputs to create user profiles.

Accounts and database storage

DateKit currently has no user registration, profile, saved history, favorites, or cloud document storage. If those features are introduced later, this policy will be updated before they are made available.

Cookies and local storage

DateKit includes an optional Google AdSense integration. When advertising is disabled, the AdSense script and ad units are not loaded. Browser or hosting infrastructure may still use technologies strictly necessary to deliver, protect, or troubleshoot the website.

When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, web beacons, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, secure, or personalize ads according to applicable consent choices.

Advertising status

DateKit is prepared to use Google AdSense through manually placed ad units. Ads only load in deployments where the integration has been explicitly enabled with valid account and ad-unit identifiers. Ad areas are separated from calculator controls and are labeled as advertising.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, DateKit must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework when required. A privacy and cookie settings control is displayed when the Google consent integration is active.

External links

DateKit may link to third-party resources. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Review them before providing information or enabling preferences on an external site.

Children's privacy

DateKit is a general utility and is not directed specifically to children. The site does not knowingly request names, accounts, or contact information from children through its calculators.

Security and retention

Reasonable technical measures are used to reduce unauthorized access and maintain the availability of the website. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Calculator inputs are not intentionally retained by DateKit. Technical logs, when generated by infrastructure providers, may be retained according to their operational and security settings.

Your choices and privacy questions

You can avoid entering personal dates, clear form fields, close the page, configure your browser to restrict cookies, and use the contact page for a privacy inquiry. Because DateKit currently has no user accounts or saved calculation database, there is normally no stored calculation history for DateKit to retrieve or delete.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised when the product, hosting, analytics, advertising, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page will identify the latest published version.
